The Jan has the classic handbag look. There are two outside pockets, trimmed in leather. Each pocket has a brass snap closure. It also has a brass zipper closure running past each end for easier access. The entire purse is bound in leather. There is one inside pocket. Brass feet to protect the bottom from wear.
